Another Coach. Another Blog. So what do I hope to accomplish by writing down my thoughts?
Well it has been a long journey so far. A coaching roller-coaster ride with many highs and lows and most definitely a few twists thrown in for good measure.
My main aim in writing a blog I suppose to connect with as many other 'Grass Roots' coaches as possible. To create a network of coaches from all walks of life whom are willing to share information and open healthy debates on various subjects within the game that are close to our hearts.
By sharing my own coaching experiences and thoughts, (some of my articles will undoubtably touch a few nerves) I trust that this will provoke debates, discussions and different opinions amongst the football fraternity.
I am still a coach who has as much to learn. Through further education, courses, discussions, books, podcasts, videos, by whatever means nessecary I hope to absorb as much information as I can, as ultimately, this is going to support me to help my players get better. Please share your thoughts and comments to challenge my philosophy, my understanding and essentially challenge my thinking!
Football is an emotive sport that deals with a very raw human element and nearly everyone has an opinion and has something to say. So lets hear it. Lets share our trials and tribulations, challenge each other respectfully and celebrate our triumphs!
